JungleMail Modern Pack

The JungleMail Modern Pack adds additional integration possibilities between JungleMail for Office 365 and SharePoint Online. It contains SharePoint Web Parts that enhance the functionality of Modern Pages in SharePoint. Currently, JungleMail Modern Pack contains two Web Parts; the JungleMail Archive for archiving newsletter content back to SharePoint, and the JungleMail Subscription for managing the communication and newsletter preferences of your employees.

 JungleMail Archive

JungleMail Archive configuration

JungleMail Archive enables the possibility to save your newsletters as fully functional and responsive SharePoint pages. Newsletter content is saved to the Site Pages library. The archived newsletters can be promoted as News items via the News Web Part. Additionally, feedback and discussion on the Archived newsletters can be facilitated using the Comments block. Recipients of your newsletter can Like or Comment below the archived newsletter by clicking an icon inside their email.

 JungleMail Subscription

JungleMail Subscription configuration

JungleMail Subscription Web part helps you personalize newsletters and send targeted content to your internal recipients. The list where subscriber data is kept is automatically configured to have strict permissions ( Read Items that were created by the user and Create and edit items that were created by the user) to preserve individual preferences between users. The JungleMail Subscription Web Part has multiple forms that can be fully customized to reflect your branding.

Installing the JungleMail 365 Modern Pack

To configure this step, you will need Tenant Administrator permissions to access the SharePoint App catalog.

1. Download JungleMail 365 Modern Pack, then extract the app file.

Note

If you are planning to grant Guest Users access to archived news articles or the subscription form, we recommend deploying the JungleMail 365 Modern Pack to a Site Collection App catalog. To deploy the Site Collection App catalog, please refer to this article. Proceed to Step 3 of the installation.

2. Navigate to your  App Catalog site collection and select Apps for SharePoint.

3. Extract Click  Upload and browse to the app file to add it to the catalog. Dragging and dropping works, too.

4. Upload the extracted app. In the pop-up window, select the Make this solution available to all sites in the organization box, then select Deploy. By doing so, the web part will be available in every site automatically. If the box is left unchecked, Modern Pack needs to be added in every site individually via Settings > Add an app.
